Whitehouse Engineering has been in existence and operating in Northern Ireland for over three decades.
It began life as Whitehouse Metal Fabricators in 1968 on a small site in Belfast's Gordon Street with only 700 square feet of manufacturing space.
The company showed steady progress under its founder Ewart Dawson. Its' success was evident and in a step forward in 1970 Mr Thompson Dawson joined the company.
The expansion over the next four years caused the firm to change its location and its' name.

The name change to Whitehouse Sheetmetal & Engineering Company Ltd. and the move to 24,000 square feet of purpose built factory signified the increasing activities of the firm in both endeavour and volume.
The new factory is located in the Belfast suburb of Mallusk in County Antrim.

Set on a small industrial estate, it is none the less surrounded by the green rolling Ulster countryside, creating a high environmental standard for the workforce.

In 1987, the company changed its name a second time to Whitehouse Engineering Company.
The decision to make this change was taken after the realisation that its areas of activity had significantly outstretched those of sheet metal engineering. Now, the firm's Mallusk base handles a wide variety of engineering projects. The span of activities is outlined in this website, demonstrated and illustrated by some major contracts undertaken by the company.

Whitehouse Engineering has expanded its sphere of influence from those early days to the Republic of Ireland, Scotland and England, including projects in the metropolis of London. The expansion will not cease. Indeed the Board of Directors has set a policy of expansion based upon continuous investment and a high degree of client satisfaction.
As a result Whitehouse Engineering are geared to face the challenge of an expanding market place and are prepared for the exciting prospects promised for the next century.
