The facilities at the plant reflect both modern day industrial demands and the increased range of activities undertaken by the company. An in-house design and drawing office was set up in 1974 and it is also the centre from which our computerised manufacturing process is controlled.
The modern, well-maintained and efficient plant at Mallusk is a far cry from the original 700 square feet of premises in Belfast in 1968. Even so, the meticulous approach to each and every project undertaken by Whitehouse Metal Fabricators in those early days is still much in evidence on the 24,000 square feet factory on a 3-acre site of Whitehouse Engineering Company today.
This modern and efficient plant is the basis of the high quality of work produced by the company and the increasing number of major contracts it is winning.
For our ductwork manufacture data is sent from our CAM software to the Decoiler / Autofolder machinery for the production of straight duct lengths, and to the CNC plasma-cutting machine for the production of rectangular, circular and flat oval fittings.
The company has always updated its equipment to keep pace with modern technology. With the addition of spiral tube and bend forming machines virtually all of the company’s ductwork manufacture is in-house.
In conduction with our plasma cutting equipment the CNC Pressbrake and heavy duty Guillotine which have the capacity to handle 16mm thick plate allow for the production of a wide variety of metal fabrications
Whitehouse Engineering’s efforts have resulted in heavy and light fabrication departments and facilities for the design & manufacture of air conditioning systems, structural steelwork and chimneys.
